Refurbished iPad Mini 5 Review – Portable but Excellent Performance
The iPad Mini was one of the most successful and handy iPad ever created. It came out in March of 2019. An Apple refurbished iPad in Australia has a lot to offer in terms of value, battery life and performance. Going for a refurbished device means that you’ll be getting the same performance at a discounted price.
If you have used an iPad Mini then you may know that it doesn't really get much better than this in terms of portability. There are rumours going around that Apple may actually release the next generation of the iPad Mini but I don't know how verifiable that is or when that's going to happen but here’s why I think you should buy a refurbished iPad Mini 5 today.
Apple iPad Mini Price in Australia
It's so portable and so light that you can just throw this thing in a book bag or even put it in a binder or a notebook etc. It offers stellar performance and has a near-perfect OS, you can buy a refurbished iPad Mini 5 64gb for $479 AUD which is impressive as it has a lot to offer in terms of performance.
Display
Starting off with the front, iPad Mini 5 has that 7.9 inch IPS panel, it's a retina panel and has a resolution of 1536 by 2048 and pixel per inch density of 324. It’s an excellent screen with bright and saturated colours, it gets the job done however there is quite a bit of bezel that may be a deal-breaker to some. It has a bit of an old design but in my opinion, I like it just way it is and it feels durable thanks to the bezels. The front glass is scratch resistant and it also has Oleophobic coating on it which will protect the phone from accidental water splashes. All in all, I like the screen very much and Apple has done an exceptional job with the fine-tuning of the display.
Build Quality
On the back, the iPad Mini has a standard aluminium frame and aluminium back cover which feels extremely premium in the hands. The second hand iPad mini is portable and feels durable. It has a lightning port on the bottom of the device and it supports Apple pencil which is another excellent feature.
Camera
Let's talk about the camera now, it has a single camera setup on the back. It is an 8-megapixel sensor and it gets the job done. It can easily handle facetime, Zoom calls, Microsoft teams among other things. The pictures turn out are great, sure, they can be improved but I have no complaints about the camera.
On the front, it has a 7-megapixel sensor which supports 1080p videos which is excellent. Both the front and the back can shoot in the same resolutions which is really convenient that's kind of what we're seeing now with the iPhones 4k 60 on the front 4k 60 on the back. This too, definitely by no means, a bad camera. It gets the job done and at the end of the day the camera gets thumbs up from me and in my books, it's definitely not the best camera but it certainly gets the job done.
Software And Performance
Software-wise, it is currently running the iOS 14 and is powered by Apple's A12 chipset. The iOS 14 is smooth and like I have said before in previous posts, Apple has done an exceptional job with the software and hardware integration.
Now moving on to the performance side of things, It has Apple’s A12 Bionic chipset inside with 3GB of ram. The smoothness and performance are out of this world it can do a lot for sure. It can handle everything you throw at it, the gaming performance is also excellent. And it can also be used for video editing and it edits them at an impressive speed.
Wrapping Up
If you’re currently looking for a refurbished iPad mini then the iPad Mini 5 should definitely be in your top 3, it offers exceptional performance in a portable form factor which is an excellent combination and you just can't go wrong with that.
